After struggling with a gradual weight increase for several years my doctor advised me to make changes to my lifestyle in an effort to curb unhealthy rises in blood pressure and cholesterol levels. He recommended that I consider working with Diminishing Dimensions as the safest option.

Diminishing Dimensions helped me develop a plan for eating that is very different from my past patterns and habits. When I tried to lose weight in the past I starved myself but always failed, watched my weight yoyo up and down, or even gained weight. Diminishing Dimensions taught me the right way to eat to maintain an active metabolism and a healthy nutritional balance. She also helped me understand the basics of nutrition and to think a different way about what I eat and why.

Over the one-year period I participated in the Diminishing Dimensions program I lost 65 pounds. Following the recommendations for exercise I got from Marlene I was able to increase my muscle mass while losing the fat. Most important, when I went back to the doctor for my next annual physical my blood pressure and cholesterol levels were excellent and I was able to stop all my medications.

This program changed (and certainly extended) my life and has made me a healthier, happier person. It required effort on my part, but wasn’t nearly as hard as I thought it would be because of the counseling, information and support I received from Rita and Marlene.
